After-hours care

Because earaches don't understand office hours and sore throats don't observe holidays, Novant Health Forsyth Pediatrics offers after-hours care. If your child is sick on the weekend, you can visit our after-hours care location where providers you know and trust will address those urgent pediatric needs.

After-hours care is available at our Kernersville location. Providers will be available to see children with acute medical concerns including sore throats, earaches, flu-like symptoms and minor injuries.

After-hours care in is available:

• 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.

Early-morning sick clinic

Our Kernersville, Oak Ridge, Union Cross and Walkertown offices offer early-morning sick clinics on weekdays for established patients of Novant Health Forsyth Pediatrics. From 8 a.m. until 9 a.m., established patients can stop by either of these offices for first-come, first-served care. No appointment is necessary and you do not need to call ahead. This is especially useful for parents wondering whether a child is too sick to attend school or daycare.

Help round-the-clock

If your child is sick after hours or on a weekend, call 336-515-7420 to speak to a nurse. That nurse will advise you on whether to go to the after-hours or weekend clinic, to head to an emergency room or to schedule an appointment with our office during normal office hours.
